Ready To Launch is a program for 20-24 year olds having difficulty transitioning to adulthood. The program is designed to assist young adults who have been unable to succeed in college or to get on track to build a self-sustaining career. The goal of this program is to help young adults identify and overcome the obstacles that have kept them from moving ahead.
How it Works: The program begins with a thorough evaluation that involves a family consultation, patient interview, and personality/vocational testing. Participants then attend weekly, structured group sessions where they set individual goals, learn new skills, and are given weekly assignments. Group members offer each other support as well as feedback that is sometimes better heard from a peer. Family and individual sessions are held, as needed, to augment the group work. Family involvement is an essential part of program’s effectiveness.
